The Babylon Board of Education in Suffolk County announced that the unnamed school employee has resigned after reaching an agreement with the district, effective as of Monday, Nov. 8.

Last week, the employee was “reassigned to home” amid an investigation into undisclosed allegations against him. His resignation was announced a week later on Tuesday, Nov. 2.

According to the Board of Education, they cannot legally discuss the terms of the settlement, and the police cannot comment on the ongoing investigation into the school employee.

“The district does not tolerate misconduct and takes all allegations of such very seriously," Babylon Schools Superintendent Linda Rozzi previously said in a letter to parents. "Due to privacy laws, school districts are limited in the information we can release regarding this matter."
